About Us
Our Philosophy
At Kiyoto, our own philosophy is centred around not just the food but an all-encompassing culinary experience taking in sight, smell, taste and texture. Our menu is testament to the imagination and creativity of our chefs and is to be enjoyed by the whole family.
Sushi is more than just delicious morsels of rice and fish, it encompasses a philosophy than those outside of Japan find it almost impossible to comprehend. Sushi, a word originally used to refer to a type of aged fish wrapped in fermented rice (after which the rice was discarded), can trace its story back two thousand years.
Over the centuries it developed into what we recognise today and it’s these ancient traditions and heritage that drive us to create authentic sushi worthy of the name.
Nobu Matsuhisa
“Making sushi is an art, and experience is everything.
